Showweekend with Ayla this time. She was entered in Zwolle (NL) on both days.
On saturday Ayla gained 3 Very Good. On sunday we did much better and she gained 1 Excellent in Open Class and 3rd best female with res. CACIB.

Rotterdam CACIB, with judge ms. Maret Kärdi (EE) who started her judging of with disqualifying a dog turned this into a wonderful day for us!

Amon entered Open Class and gained 1 Excellent with a very nice report.

He was later choosen as res Best Male with res. CAC/CACIB which will both be turned into full points.

With this result Amon gained the last needed point for his first adult title.
Amon is Dutch Champion !

We are very proud and happy, for us the first own bred Champion!

What a day….

Starting the day with wet feet and ending the day with everything wet 😉

The show was held in a beautiful place in Lund, the Stadspark.
Well organised, big rings and plenty of space to just sit and watch over 170 entered dogs.

Sue Simper (UK) judged the males today. Amon entered open class (22 entries) and gained Excellent with the following report:

“Just over  2 years, medium sized mid wheaten. Very workman like. Typical head with good eye and expression. Little stocky through the neck. Good bone for size. Good top-line. Strong shapely hindquarters with well bent stifles and low set hock. Well muscled. Going with good width between stifles and using his hocks very good coming. Adequate profile stride. Good ridge.”

Amon was awarded with Excellent but stayed unplaced.

The show day ended at 8.30 pm, by far the longest show day in history 😉

It has been a week FULL of ridgebacks and their wonderful owners.
Esther and me left for Lund – Sweden on Sunday. Spending a few days meeting new friends and theirs dogs, visiting the city of Lund.

On Wednesday and Thursday we attended the RRWC 2016, organised by Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Two days full of interesting lectures and inspiring stories from people who have been in the breed for even up to 40 years and more. Interesting insights in the future for our breed.

It is good to finally meet people you have “known” through social media in real life after, sometimes, years. Both days were closed with a lovely diner and on Thursday even a party after that.  Already quite exhausted from the past 5 days the trip was not over yet !

Lana has started her heat today ! Which means that we can start the countdown for her next heat to come, in which she will be mated to the ever so wonderful Maverick. The mating is planned in late September, early October 2016, pups will then be ready to go to their homes early 2017.

We are very excited and look forward to it so much !

We had a visitor this weekend, a very special guest indeed!
Beautiful Lani stayed over for a few days. Just as active as her brother, and the sweetest girl there is. Time to take some new photos!

Today is a HAPPY day.
Our Darell turns 12 years (young!) today.
There have been some bumbs in the road on the way here, but he did it 🙂

So happy to have him around every single day.
We are hoping for many years to come in good health, both body and mind <3

Amon wins Open Class on the National show held in Papendal Holland.
There were 7 entries in open class, Amon showed of his best and won!
In competition for Best Male he unfortunately wasn’t chosen. Nevertheless I am very happy with the result 🙂

Me and Esther drove to Lingen Germany with Amon, Daka and Azuma.
Amon gained Very Good in Open Class, not sure why when I read his report 😉

We found him ! We found the perfect man for Lana her second and last litter, planned later this year.

We thank Petra and Hanka for allowing us to use Maverick for Lana her precious litter. You are making a dream come true.

I am happy and proud to announce we are planning a second and also last litter with Lana. If nature works with us she will be mated after summer.
At this moment we are on the search for Mister Right, we think he is just around the corner, keep an eye on our website for more info soon.

Lana her first puppies are almost two years old now. Eight out of ten so far have been x-rayed with super results.
They all have the loving and energetic character from their parents.

We are extremely satisfied and happy with how the puppies are and as we want more people to experience the joy of having a little bit of Lana in their lives we decided to give it another go.
